ZANU-PF National Secretary for Youth Affairs, Cde Tino Machakaire, has restructured the Youth League National Executive in accordance with this year’s national conference resolutions, which aim to align teams adept at advancing the 2030 national agenda.

Cde Phineas Makombe has been appointed Secretary for Commissariat, Cde Tsungai Makumbe as Secretary for Finance, Cde Phillippa Mukoko as Secretary for External Relations, Cde Munashe Mtutsa as Secretary for Information, Cde Valeria Makonza as Secretary for Legal Affairs, and Cde Garikai Zonde as Secretary for Science and Technology.

The new appointments are intended to shape the youth’s political juggernaut, driving both party and national agendas in line with President Mnangagwa’s vision for 2030.

In a statement released on Monday, Cde Machakaire said, “In my capacity as Secretary for Youth Affairs, I have made the adjustments in the departmental leadership of the National Youth League Executive Council. These adjustments are intended to enhance the fulfilment of Zanu-PF Youth League’s constitutional obligations and meticulous execution of the national people’s conference resolutions.”

Confirming his new role, Cde Makombe, who was previously serving as Secretary for Legal Affairs in the same executive, expressed his readiness to take on the responsibilities of Commissar of the Youth League.

“I am dedicated to working for the party and supporting President Mnangagwa and his 2030 vision. Being a commissar comes with a lot of responsibilities, but what is important is to align everything with party ideologies, ethos, and national vision. I am happy that the leadership has entrusted me with that role, and I promise that my team and I will represent the aspirations of the youth and our party,” he said.
