ZIMBABWE football agent George Deda has set up offices in Zanzibar and Oman.

Deda, through his Soccer Transfer International Agency, has been busy facilitating players’ deals during the Covid-19 lockdown.

He is one of the five people that were registered by Zifa as the country’s only recognised player intermediaries.

By setting up offices in East Africa and Asia, Deda is angling to strengthen relations he has established in those areas.

The other four recognised player intermediaries registered by Zifa are Gibson Mahachi, Gerald Maguranyanga, Colin Zilali and Charles Jones.

“Soccer Transfer International has done deals during this Covid-19 era, helping footballers realise their dreams while others are finding it difficult. We came up with strategies where we have opened offices in Zanzibar and Qatar to service the corridor we’ve opened. Good relations have been struck with east African countries as well as those in the Arab world,” said Deda.

“We have helped players join the Sudanese league, Zambian league, the Oman league, Ethiopia and the Tanzanian leagues during this challenging Covid-19 period,” he said.

The ambitious football agent has, among other people, facilitated Tanzania deals for the Warriors’ pair of striker Prince Dube, who joined Azam FC last year, forward Perfect Chikwende, who moved from FC Platinum to Simba SC at the beginning of the year as well as midfielder Last Jesi, who made a switch to Sudan.

Deda has also represented a number of players from West Africa.

“People should know we are not novices in this game. Our journey started in 1999/2000 when I signed up Tauya Murehwa and Llyod Mutasa. I also took the late Adam Ndlovu and Richard Choruma to South Africa. I’m the one who facilitated South African moves for the Mushangazhike brothers, Gilbert and Kelvin as well as Tinashe Nengomasha.

The list is endless, I facilitated Joseph Mwanza’s move from Hwange to Free State Stars in South Africa and then later to Ho Chi Minh City FC in Vietnam,” said Deda.

He also facilitated former Dynamos defender Joseph Matola’s move to Free State Stars. — @ZililoR
