MINISTER of Health and Child Care, Dr Douglas Mombeshora, visited Ingutsheni Central Hospital in Bulawayo this afternoon, where he outlined ambitious plans to double the nation’s health workforce by 2030. During his tour, Mombeshora emphasised that the establishment of a Health Service Commission would facilitate the necessary reforms to achieve this goal.
The Minister’s visit comes amid ongoing challenges in Zimbabwe’s healthcare system, including staffing shortages and resource constraints. The Minister expressed optimism about the potential impact of the Health Service Commission, which aims to streamline recruitment and deployment processes within the health sector.
The Government’s commitment to improving health services is part of a broader strategy to address public health challenges and improve overall outcomes in the country
