Kwekwe-based Zimdancehall chanter, Jah Bless (real name Tavona Padoro) is set to drop an 18-track album which will be his fourth offing.

The album which features a number of artistes from across the globe will be the first for the artiste since rechristening to Ganjah Trix.

Titled Born to lead, some of the tracks have since been trickling in via iTunes/Apple Music and Spotify while the rest of the album will be released on September 4 via iTunes.

According to the Touya Ikoko hit-maker, the album has artists from Jamaica and Namibia as well as local artists.

“The album has 18 tracks and features artists like Female Donkey from Namibia, Bobo Vizion from Jamaica and from the local front, it features Guspy Warrior, Kilaman, Tristy and L. Major and underground artiste,” said the artiste who rebranded in a bid to reach out to the international market.

The album contains songs sung in different languages including English, Shona and Xhosa.

“Some tracks were recorded by Jamaican producer Country Tiger and Raston Simpson of Move Up Records. The rest were recorded by Rodney Beats in Zimbabwe. This was in line with my rebranding as an artist as I seek to penetrate the international stage,” he said.

The album is a mixture of a number of genres like reggae, hip-hop, house, Afro-beat, dancehall and acoustic.

He said the album is also a dedication to his late father, Kizito Padoro who died in July aged 82.

As Jah Bless, the artiste recorded ‘Singles collection’ in 2015 which contains the hit track, Touya ikoko. This was followed by King of Zimdancehall (2017) and Usazvitarisire Pasi (2018).
