Melissa Mpofu in Harare—
Bulawayo may want to brace for a massive influx of domestic tourists as a convoy of up to five buses and 200 cars makes its way to the city today for Jah Prayzah’s album launch tonight. The parade is likely to expand as some will join when it stops over in all towns and cities along the Harare-Bulawayo highway. Jah Prayzah’s latest album — Mdhara Vachauya has sparked a lot of interest among his followers with some speculating that the show venue —Large City Hall car park may be too small.

However, the domestic tourists could not have visited Bulawayo at a better time as the city recently welcomed new nightclubs — Private Lounge, Copa Cubana and Club 263 — offering diverse entertainment.

Club 263 which plays host to Harare’s Judgement Yard and DJ Rax said they were more than ready to host the visitors. Jah Prayzah’s manager, Keen Mushapaidze said all was set for tonight’s show.

“Our team in Bulawayo is hard at work putting final touches for the show. We’ve beefed up security and expect the show to go on without glitches,” said Mushapaidze. Jah Prayzah will be joined on stage by Winky D another crowd favourite in Bulawayo and hip hop king Cal_Vin.
