ALL is set for the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting and congress which starts in Victoria Falls tomorrow and ends on Friday.  At least 200 delegates are expected to attend the event. Ministers, Government officials and foreign speakers are expected to present papers on various economic issues.

Industry and Commerce Minister Professor Welshman Ncube will officially open the congress.
Youth, Indigenisation and Empowerment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere is also expected to speak on indigenisation issues.

The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa secretary-general Mr Sindiso Ngwenya will also be among speakers.
Speakers would speak on strategies that need to be adopted as Zimbabwe looks towards achieving a $100 billion economy by 2040.

Zimbabwe’s has over the past decade suffered economic decay making it a net importer of basic commodities and other goods and services.

In order to adopt strategies to drive the country towards a $100 billion economy by 2040, this year’s ZNCC congress was expected to take note of the economic achievements the country has made since the liberalisation of the economy in February 2009.
