MAMELODI Sundowns winger Khama Billiat seems to be finding life difficult at his new home at the star-studded team in South Africa’s Absa Premier Soccer League as he has suddenly become prone to injury.
The Warriors dribbling wizard was carried out in Sunday’s crucial Nedbank Cup game against the Soweto giants Orlando Pirates due to a recurring ankle injury.

Billiat started the game at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria where he showed some glamorous touches before a forced substitution where Sundowns introduced Mozambican international winger Elias Pelembe who scored the equaliser before half time.

The other Zimbabwean international striker Cuthbert Malajila came on as a last minute substitute and failed to help his team score.
Former AmaZulu midfielder Esrom Nyandoro was not on the bench when his team bowed out with a 2-1 scoreline to Pirates.

Sundowns communications co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa said: “It is a sad scenario for the Zimbabwean as he has been hit hard by a series of injuries recently,  coach Pitso Mosimane will miss Billiat a lot especially now that the team needs all its stars to maintain the pressure in the championship race.”

The Brazilians lead the PSL log with four games to go.
Billiat’s fate will be known this week after a physiotherapist’s report.

Nedbank Cup results: Bloemfontein Celtic 1-2 Bidvest Wits, African Warriors 1-3 Maritzburg United, Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 SuperSport United.
National First Division results: Black Leopards 0-1 United FC
