The Harare side, who have won two and drawn one of their three matches, are bracing for a tough date against red-hot leaders CAPS United.
And Chidzambwa believes the big tests are yet to come for his boys.
“So far we have started off well but we cannot say much at this juncture.
“Of course, it’s a relief to start well but we have played teams that are not powerhouses.
“The real test will come when we face the top teams,” said Chidzambwa. The former Zimbabwe coach said he was still trying to turn his team into a competitive force.
“It’s still too early as we are just starting.
“It was maybe the same with FC Platinum who started well but now they have been defeated and at least they will work on their mistakes,” said Chidzambwa. The coach watched moneybags FC Platinum fall to their first defeat of the season yesterday at Rufaro. “If we lose, then we can work on mistakes,” said Chidzambwa.
Moses Chunga’s CAPS United beat Zimbabwe Saints 5-3 before overcoming Shooting Stars 5-2 and then beating Shabanie Mine 4-0.
Meanwhile, former CAPS United player Carrington Katumba, who committed suicide at his home in Chitungwiza on Monday, was yesterday buried at Unit L cemetery.
His former club CAPS United are understood to have met some of the expenses at the funeral for their former player.
At the time of his death, Katumba was playing for AMC in the lower leagues.
