Mutare City 0-1 Bulawayo City
PATHETIC Mutare City Rovers continued with their losing streak when they crashed to their seventh defeat of the season at the hands of fellow Premiership newboys Bulawayo City 1-0 at Sakubva yesterday. Mkhululi Moyo’s 12th minute goal was all that the visitors needed for maximum points. City Rovers gaffer Taku Shariwa said they will not throw in the towel.

“Bulawayo City played well in the first half, especially in the first 15 minutes and that’s when they scored. We conceded a silly goal owing to loss of concentration on the part of our defence.

“Unfortunately, the game of football is won by goals and they won because they scored and we did not. However, I think we’re going to collect point in our forthcoming matches and I still believe we will survive relegation,” said Shariwa.

The visitors’ coach Philani Ncube hailed his men. “We did our homework and when we came into this match we knew their strengths and weaknesses. We dominated in the first half and tactically we were better. “After all, there’s a difference between a seasoned coach and a junior coach,” bragged Ncube.
