THE Nafaz Central Soccer League (CSL) has started the process of reviewing its constitution following the dissolution of Zifa. However, the league will use its logo, not the Nafaz one in any of its correspondence and business. “We are moving towards realigning our constitution following recent developments where Zifa was dissolved paving way for the establishment of Nafaz. We want the constitution to be in line with the new order. We have stopped using Zifa property and we are no longer using Zifa logos in our day to day business and correspondence,” said CSL president, Stanley Chapeta.

“However, as a region we will not be using the Nafaz logo but we will be using our own logo in all our dealings but we will still remain an affiliate of Nafaz,” he added.

The new development is reflected in match tickets which only carry the logo of the regional football body. The pick for this week’s fixtures is the one pitting Shabanie Mine and Ivan Hoe at Maglas Stadium today. The asbestos miners would be hoping to overcome last week’s setback when they were beaten 1-0 by MSU so that they maintain pole position on the log standings.

Meanwhile, the Nafaz Women Central Region Football Association will today hold a four-team tournament at Mkoba Stadium. The tournament is being sponsored by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, in his capacity as patron of the Midlands Show Society. Vice President Mnangagwa availed $1,000 which went towards the purchasing of football kits for the teams.

The four teams are Chipembere Queens which will take on Zvishavane Pirates in the first semi final while Shumba Queens takes on ZPCS Queens in the other semi final.
