Goromonzi receives Presidential agricultural inputs

Addressing villagers in the constituency last Thursday, Zanu-PF Goromonzi district co-ordinating committee chairman Cde Boniface Mutizhe said President Mugabe seeks to ensure every household becomes self-reliant.

“It is the wish of the President that every household will harvest enough food for survival and to make sure no one starves,” he said.
Cde Mutizhe urged the villagers to fully utilise the inputs, most of which will be channelled to youths and vulnerable groups.

“We must not let our President down.
“It is his wish that we fully utilise the land.
“Let us make use of the land and make money from our sweat,” he said.

“Most of this fertiliser is going to youths and vulnerable groups like child-headed families.
“We need to see our youths work the land so they can have funds in their pockets.”
Speaking at the same occasion, Headman Philemon Shumba hailed President Mugabe for supporting the communal farmer.

He said the scheme would ensure food security.
“We must all thank our President, who has our interests and welfare at heart.
“He is concerned about us. That is why he has availed these inputs,” he said.
