Hwange face difficult task in Bosso 90 Nation Dube

NATION Dube, coach of Southern Region Division One Soccer League championship favourites, Hwange, is wary of today’s clash against Bosso 90 in Bulawayo, describing it as one of the difficult games they are left with.

The coal miners lead the pack with 62 points after 26 games, and with four matches left, Hwange just need five points from a possible 12 to get back into the Premiership.

Hwange who clobbered ZRP Bulawayo 4-0 at the Colliery Stadium last weekend will then face second placed Tsholotsho after their Bosso 90 trip, and hope to kill off the contests when they face the former Premiership side.

“Our next game is one of the difficult games as Bosso 90 are a tricky side. We just have to keep our guard and try to get a positive result before finishing off Tsholotsho ourselves. Being the last stages of the season, we’ve to make sure that we fully concentrate,” said Dube.

Hwange, who have been spurred by veterans who include the region’s leading scorer Gilbert Zulu who has 19 goals from 26 matches, Felix Chindungwe, Gerald Ndlovu and Andrew Chuma will face Mosi Rovers in Victoria Falls and ZPC Hwange in their final games of the season.

To their credit, Tsholotsho have made the title race interesting with Joseph Sibindi, who has no big name players in his squad effectively competing for the title.

Some of the players that have been driving Tsholotsho’s cause are Tinashe Mthimkhulu, Michael Bhebhe and Welcome Ndiweni who has made cameo appearances.

Tsholotsho, smarting from a 3-1 away defeat to Makomo face unpredictable Zim Leopards at Raylton this afternoon, knowing that a loss against the fired-up side who are on a three-match unbeaten run will be calamitous to their fading chances of an early return.

A victory though will lift Tsholotsho’s confidence when they head to Hwange next weekend. Tsholotsho’s last two games are against Toronto and Casmyn.

Coach Sibindi is on record as bravely saying he will destroy Chipangano in front of their fans at the Colliery.

He uttered the words from the terraces when Hwange were held to a 0-0 draw by Talen Vision at Luveve Stadium a few weeks ago.
