FORMER Warriors, Dynamos and FC Platinum holding midfielder Thabani “Scara” Kamusoko, believes that he can still play top-level football after signing for Triangle United in the Zifa Eastern Region Division One.

Kamusoko (36), who also previously did duty for the now defunct Njube Sundowns, joins the former PSL side from Zambian outfit Nkana FC.

He was part of the Zimbabwe national team that took part in the 2022 biennial Africa Cup of Nations finals held in Cameroon

“It’s all about having a new challenge in life as I’m now with Triangle United. I have been training with the club for some time as we await the start of the league. I’m still in the game as I’m also still assessing the situation to see how it goes with my career. When the right time comes, other decisions will be made,” said the well-travelled dread-locked midfield enforcer.

The 2014 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Soccer Star of the Year finalist also turned out for Zesco United in Zambia.

Before moving across the Zambezi, Kamusko had a dance in Tanzania with Young Africans alongside his former FC Platinum teammate Donald Ngoma.

The experienced midfielder joins a seasoned team that includes Ali Sadiki, Brian Juru and Dominic Mukandi. Triangle United, who recently got demoted from the Premiership, appears soundly supported and is now managed by experienced coach Arthur Thutani who helped Simba Bhora get promoted to the PSL.

“It is always pleasing to join a club that boasts of experienced players. It’s all about mixing youth and experience in a game of football and I believe we will do well,” said Kamusoko.

He sees the move as a new lease of life and an opportunity to add more accolades to his already impressive career. “It’s all about time. I weighed options and settled for this side. I would like to be part of players that bring glory to this community. There are a lot of reasons for optimism,” said Kamusoko. – @FungaiMuderere
