KATALAMBANO Bible

THERE are two types of Christians in every church, one that is spiritually vigilant and one that is dull. Lack of spiritual intelligence and wisdom births mishaps in various areas of one’s life.

Among all the contributing factors, familiarity towards servants of God can be the primary one. Familiarity is the inability to distinguish between the personal anointing of the man of God and his pulpit anointing.

The lack of that piece of vital information is detrimental as far as your spiritual welfare is concerned because when you fail to acknowledge the difference, you lose the benefits that emanate from the pulpit anointing.

There are many Christians that always miss out on benefiting from the anointing upon the man of God because they are too slow in grasping whenever the Lord avails an opportunity.

The way God operates requires a notion known as “katalambano.” They need this spirit of sensitivity, spiritual intelligence and the ability to discern spiritual moments when they are availed to them.

What is Katalambano?

Katalambano is a Hebrew word which has three words juxtaposed together.
Kata refers to quickness, haste, running, hurrying or speed. La means seizing, grabbing or taking hold of.

Mbano refers to a due moment, the right spiritual season, stirred season, due time or a time ripe with your blessings.

Katalambano as a whole means the quickened spiritual ability and intelligence to seize or to grab spiritual moments when they avail themselves before you, without delay, procrastination, reluctance or hesitation.
Genesis 18:2

Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, “If I have found favour in your eyes, my Lord, do not pass your servant by. NIV

Abraham was a man who would quickly seize a moment when it availed itself to him. He had katalambano, a spiritual law that allows you to grab or seize the blessing when it is at stake or when an opportunity has been unveiled.

For a 100 years, he had no children and when God appeared to him in the form of men, he was able to perceive that it was a heavenly visitation.

The men that appeared before him did not ask for food, but Abraham fathomed that there was more to that visit than met the eye.
