HAVING camped at North End suburb, adjacent to Highlanders Sports Club since last year’s festive season, the popular and most loved Luna Park is ready for the April holidays.

Luna Park is the only mobile leisure-ride centre in Zimbabwe and the operators move to a new place seasonally. They came to Bulawayo last December to provide their services.

They have again committed to providing their services to Bulawayo for the month of April at the open space at the corner of Masotsha Ndlovu Avenue and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street.

Established in the 1970s, the Luna Park has always been a favourite of many, from children to adults.

It is mostly popular during the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) period around April where the owners station the leisure machines close to the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) for the convenience of those who would have visited the annual trade showcase.

Family Amusement Park managing director, Mr Witness Chihota said they are fully dedicated and are at their customer’s service.

“We pride ourselves in good customer service and we always put the needs of our customers first. This is why we decided to camp here in Bulawayo while waiting for the month of April where most people will require our services. We could’ve continued with our mobility and navigated many other customers from the many cities around the country but we chose to stay and provide services for the people of Bulawayo first,” he said.

Mr Chihota said they are ready and fully equipped for the holidays.

“We’re looking forward to the busy days. We invested greatly into the April holidays by purchasing more machinery and adding more activities to the list for April. We have trampolines, jumping castles as well as horse rides to add to the list of activities done at the Luna Park,” he said.

Family Amusement Park has chosen the open space at the corner of Masotsha Ndlovu Avenue and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street as there is space for the many activities they plan on adding.

“I believe this year families will have the best experiences of their lives because we have thoroughly prepared a lot for them. We have also engaged with taxi drivers to ensure that they provide transport for people coming from all directions in the city to the Luna Park,” said Mr Chihota. –@Sagepapie14
