RENOWNED South African gospel artiste, Pastor Solly Mahlangu gave a scintillating performance at the Harvest House gospel extravaganza show held on Sunday at ZITF Hall 4.The stage was well set for the South African music icon whose show was curtain raised by Harvest House church groups.

Performances by Hosanna, Moreen Jeche from Gweru and Welcome Nhariswa from Masvingo, confirmed the abundant local talent.
Minister Takesure Ncube took the show to another level when he performed with his Worship Addicts.

The auditorium went wild when Pastor Mahlangu came on stage.
He responded well to the electrifying atmosphere and introduced himself with the song Obrigado, which literally brought the house down.

Most of Pastor Mahlangu’s songs were from his 2009 album which raised him to stardom.
Fans who seemed to be enjoying every song, were singing along as they danced.

“This is what I came here to see, this guy is on another level. I feel blessed to be here,” said a fan identified as Kumbirai Samwoyo.
Pastor Mahlangu would in-between songs preach to fans. The show went a gear up when he invited Takesure Ncube on stage.

“I am looking forward to working with one or two artistes from Zimbabwe. I was listening to Takesure in the car and I am convinced he has the talent,” said Pastor Mahlangu.

He urged local gospel musicians to market themselves in the region and internationally.
“I listened to Oliver Mtukudzi and loved his music before I even knew the meaning of his songs. Most Zimbabwean musicians have what it takes to appeal to the international market,” he said.

Other groups that took part at the gospel extravaganza and gave a good account of themselves are One Voice and Pastor Jackie.
