“It is sad what is happening to my family, Pharell just innocently recorded that video while he was with his friends now we are paying dearly for it. Police initially pounced on him and deleted the video but it was then alleged that he had made copies and that is when as an extended family we also began to suffer.

“His parents were targeted and even accused of being members of the opposition which is far from the truth. My daughter was actually abducted and raped by people who claimed to be police officers,” said Mr Maseko.

He revealed that after the numerous attacks the family had since disappeared and he did not know of their whereabouts.

“When my daughter and her family suddenly disappeared the attacks shifted to me, I was beaten by some individuals who accused me of hiding them. As is I do not know what to do. I so not know where my daughter, son-in-law and grandson are. I do not know who to turn to, please may I be assisted.

“What pains me is that this is all because of a video which my grandson took now we have to suffer this painful ordeal,” he said.
