AMAHLOLANYAMA @90 members have donated a food hamper to outstanding young Highlanders central defender Peter Muduhwa, whom they picked as their man of the match in the epic encounter that saw them completing a hard fought league double over archrivals Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday. Bosso beat DeMbare 2-1 with goals by Muduhwa’s twin centre-back Tendai Ndlovu and veteran striker Ralph Matema in three minutes of misery for the Harare giants.

The Glamour Boys had taken a first half lead in the 28th minute through lively winger Masimba Mambare following some shocking marking by the Bosso rearguard. It was, however, the star performance by Muduhwa, whose solo run resulted in Bosso’s second goal after he overlapped, beating a cluster of Dynamos players, which got fans talking.

When he got into the box, he flighted an inviting cross that Matema obligingly headed home triggering jubilant scenes at Barbourfields Stadium.

It finally dawned on the multitude of Highlanders’ fans that a double was now well within sight.

The Soweto stand-based Amahlolanyama @90 members, who have pledged to select a man of the match for all Bosso’s remaining home games, felt Muduhwa was the star of the day and lived true to their pledge by presenting a hamper consisting of various foodstuffs.

The hamper was presented to Muduhwa by Highlanders vice-chairman Modern Ngwenya on behalf of Amahlolanyama @90.

The 23-year-old’s star continues to rise and his exploits remind many of another club legend Dazzy Kapenya in just about everything.

Speaking after the match, Muduhwa said they never really panicked when DeMbare shot ahead.

“I never panicked when they went ahead, as I knew we would get the goal because their front runners were never really giving us pressure. I never felt them and I knew it was only a matter of time,” said Muduhwa — @skhumoyo2000.
