PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has lit the Independence Flame at Vahera Stadium Murambinda B High School, which is an enduring symbol of the country’s struggle for freedom and its commitment to building a better future for all its citizens.

As the flame continues to burn brightly, it serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who fought for independence and a beacon of hope for the generations to come.

The flame left Harare on 12 April for Manicaland province where it was lit at Magamba/Butcher site in Rusape.

Magamba/Butcher was a Rhodesian slaughter house outside Rusape, where freedom fighters and innocent men, women and children who supported the struggle for independence met.
