If you are in Bulawayo for the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) and love live entertainment, Red Café in the city centre is the spot to be as it has been bustling with live band performances since Sunday.

Legendary musicians Ramsey K and Big Ray kicked off the week, showcasing their decades of growth and determination in the music industry.

Under Ramsey K’s mentorship, the Big Ray band features singers from diverse backgrounds who share a common musical vision.

On Monday night, the youthful Band Fusion captivated a packed house, many of whom were delegates of the ongoing ZITF, which opened its doors to business delegates on Tuesday and continues up to Saturday.

The public will have the opportunity to attend the 64th edition of ZITF from tomorrow until Saturday.

Band of Fusion performed at the venue on Wednesday, with Band of Misfits set to have performed last night.

Ramsey K and Big Ray are expected to close out the week-long gigs dubbed the Trade Fair Band Festival.

Throughout the gigs, Star FM radio personality Babongile Sikhonjwa has been spotted doing live streams, interacting and enjoying the festivities with attendees.

The crowd has been actively involved, singing along, dancing, and even taking turns at the mic to belt out their favourite tracks.

Sikhonjwa encouraged people to flock to the venue to unwind after the long days at one of the busiest trade fairs in Southern Africa and the world at large.

“At Red Cafe Emphakathini, we’ve always been known for providing quality live band entertainment on certain days, and this time, with the city abuzz, we decided to host an all-day bands festival.

“The bands are among the best in the city and never disappoint, so we call on all party lover or anyone who wants to chill, to come join us,” he said.

The Trade fair Band Festival is a must-visit event for delegates looking to relive classic hits, as the bands mostly perform cover tracks. – @mthabisi_mthire
