Zimplats gets new director

THE country’s largest platinum producer, Zimplats, has appointed a new director Ms Thandeka Nozipho Mgoduso as an independent non executive following the resignation of Ms Brenda Berlin earlier this month.

Ms Berlin joined the board on March 2010 and resigned on the 4th of April this year. She was a member of the board’s audit and risk committee and also served as the chief finance officer for Impala Platinum Holdings Limited from 2011 to 2018.

The new director is an experienced human resource professional who also runs her own strategic human resources consultancy business, Jojose Investments.

“The board of directors of Zimplats is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Thandeka Nozipho Mgoduso as an independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 16 April 2018,” said Zimplats in a notice.

“Ms Mgoduso holds an MA (Clinical Psychology) from Wits University, South Africa. After working for a number of years as a clinical psychologist, as well as lecturing at universities in South Africa and abroad, she joined the corporate world where she held various senior human resources and executive leadership positions in the financial services sector and in the logistics industry.”
