NEWLY promoted Premier Soccer League club Bulawayo City will get to test their readiness for the topflight when they host Harare City in a friendly match at Luveve Stadium tomorrow.

While Bulawayo City will use the match to gauge their Premiership credentials, Harare City will be using it to prepare for the Caf Confederations Cup next weekend.

The Harare city council-owned club will lock horns with Madagascar side AS Adema in the preliminary stage of the Champions League in the capital on February 13.

Harare City won the right to represent Zimbabwe in the Caf Confederations Cup by beating city rivals Dynamos 2-1 to lift the Chibuku Super Cup.

Bulawayo City chairman Jerry Sibanda said Harare City had asked for the friendly.

“We will play Harare City on Saturday in a friendly match. They asked to play us as they are preparing for their Caf match and we agreed because our boys and technical team also need to see how far they have gone in their preparations,” said Sibanda.

Bulawayo City won promotion into the topflight last season after finishing in pole position in the Zifa Southern Region Division One campaign.

The side has hired a strong and experienced backroom staff in a bid to match the standards of the PSL.

Former Highlander striker Zenzo Moyo was brought into the council side as vice-chairman while another former Bosso administrator Horace Ndubiwa was appointed secretary-general.
