“We are going into the match as underdogs and that is an obvious case.

“We respect Highlanders as a big club but we are going to play football. I am not worried about the vociferous fans because most of my players have experience and have played under such circumstances elsewhere,” said Adam Ndlovu, who cut his teeth at the most supported team in Bulawayo.

Chicken Inn will be missing the services of inspirational captain Herbert Dick who is on suspension after earning a red card.

“I will be missing Dick (Herbert), my goalkeeper Njabulo (Nyoni) and midfielder Kuda (Mahachi).

“Dick is experienced as he is a very good defender but other players will have the chance to prove themselves.

“I also have three good goalkeepers and any one of them can give a good account of himself,” said the former goal-scoring machine.

Chicken Inn started on a high note but it is Bosso who are tipped by most fans countrywide to win with their current form as they have only drawn once  — away to Buffaloes — and won all their other matches so far.

It looks a tall order for the Innscor-sponsored team to collect maximum points.

In their last meetings last season at Luveve Highlanders won 1-0 before settling for a 1-1 draw at Emagumeni.

Bosso have one player, Simon Munawa, in the national team compared to Chicken Inn’s Nyoni and Mahachi.

Zambian coach Kelvin Kaindu has blended youth with experience and has Mthulisi Maphosa, who is playing the game of his life since his move from FC Platinum, as a major influence in the side.

Peter Moyo, who by all standards deserves a call-up to the national team, is a marvel to watch and so is Milton Ncube who is banging goals at will after leaving Motor Action where he did not get enough game time.

Kaindu’s engine is firing on all cylinders, with players in the mould of Masimba Mambare, Bruce Kwangwa, Eric Mudzingwa, Munawa, Graham Ncube, Arnold Ndiweni and Innocent Mapuranga, who is a must watch.

“Local derbies are very much interesting. We are looking forward to the game as Chicken Inn are a very good side who are playing very well. We have enough respect for them.

“I do not have a single player to single out because we play as a team and we will be gunning for points,” said Kaindu, the Bosso coach.

The Zambian had very few friends when he arrived in the country as some fans thought he did not have the credentials to lift Bosso back to their glory days.

He has proved critics wrong, at the same time stunning the nation with a display that has left fans clamouring for more with the passing game he introduced to the Bulawayo giants.
