WARRIORS and Bantu Rovers defender Teenage Hadebe has completed a season-long loan move to champions Chicken Inn and joined them in training on Monday.

Hadebe, who spent the 2015 season on loan at Highlanders, is one of four new players the Gamecocks added to their Caf Champions League squad.

Strikers Obidiah Tarumbwa, Physwell Madhazi and Moses Demera, who respectively turned out for Highlanders, Dongo Sawmill and Flame Lily last season, completed their permanent moves to the Gamecocks in January.

A nagging knee injury haunting Hadebe had delayed Chicken Inn’s decision to sign the defender.

Although details of Hadebe’s deal were sketchy, sources said the Bantu Rovers defender will be on loan at Chicken Inn for a season.

“Hadebe is now our player and has been training with the squad since Monday. I can’t divulge details of his contract, but as Chicken Inn we’re happy to have him and we hope that he gives the technical staff enough options in defence,” said Chicken Inn spokesman Tavengwa Hara.

Hadebe could be a good buy for Chicken Inn as he can play on the left side of defence, meaning he will create competition for places at the back. The two left backs in the squad are Devine Lunga and Brian Mbiriri.

At central defence, Hadebe will fight for a starting place with his national teammate Lawrence Mhlanga, Moses Jackson, Ben Nyahunzvi and Guide Goddard.
