Ingagula FC maintained their grip at the top of the Zifa Matabeleland North Division Two league as they crushed Amagagasi Under-19, 3-0 at Ingagula Stadium last Saturday.

A brace by Farai Chitsama and John Chinyerere was enough to send the handful of Ingagula fans into celebrations as their team continues to show their intentions to storm into the Zifa Southern Region Division One league next year.

On the same day, second placed league newcomers and Dete-based Hotspurs Leopards also stayed within shouting distance thanks to a 5-2 clobbering of Corinthians from Victoria Falls.

Courage Ngulube, Godfrey Ruziwa, Alberto Lungu, Thokozani Dube and Macdonald Furai were the scorers while the visitors had efforts from Chamuiwa Phiri and Andrea Muzamba.

Fourth placed Trumus Warriors edged Iwisa 1-0 at Chinotimba Stadium courtesy of a Shelton Chuma’s strike while fifth placed army side Moto Moto’s salvo was enough beat Blackrock 3-1 through goals by Willard Bembenene, Obert Munemo and Honest Dube.

Blackrock replied through goal poacher Alex Ngorora whose scoring prowess is becoming notable by the week.

Prison Services outfit Tenax edged visiting Mosi Rovers 2-1 at the Prison ground through strikes by Kudakwashe Tarusarira and Evidence Chakasanda while Lymon Nxumalo replied for Rovers.

Hwange Under-17 and Classic Luyando shared the spoils at Old Ground in a 1-1 stalemate with the Chipangano developmental side scoring through Kudzai Matanda while Luyando scored through Hilton Gomba.

On Sunday, visiting Lukhosi Pirates stunned hosts and third placed Baobab Rovers with a vintage performance to snatch a valuable point in a cracking match played at Megawatt Stadium.
