PETER ‘Rio’ Moyo’s deal with Mpumalanga Black Aces might have been an abortive attempt, but AmaZiyoni’s love for Zimbabwean players has by no means grown cold as former Zimbabwean international, Tinashe Nengomasha, has been signed.
According to KickOff.com Nengomasha, who has been training with Mpumalanga Black Aces for the past couple of weeks, has penned a two-year deal.
Aces coach Clive Barker confirmed the deal and revealed that he was happy that he had finally captured the former Kaiser Chiefs and Bidvest Wits midfielder.
“Tinashe has signed for two years. I wish I signed him long ago,” Barker confirms.
Nengomasha joins Aces on a free transfer after his contract with Wits ran out in June.
Meanwhile, Aces have confirmed that they have parted ways with Moyo as he is not in Barker’s plans.
Aces co-chairman, Mario Morfou, said the club has too many midfielders.
“Yes, it’s true that we have released Moyo. He was not in the coach’s plans. We have too many midfielders in the team, so we decided to release him,” Morfou said.
