THOSE who are still counting their losses after being cheated at the SAMA festival last weekend should worry not as Bulawayo will be a hive of activity this weekend with South Africa’s Prince Kaybee, Heavy K and Soul Jah Love among some of the artistes who will keep them entertained at different spots in the city.

Heroes and Defence Forces’ Day will be celebrated on August 14 and 15 this year, giving people a holiday that will end on Tuesday.

This Saturday will be the busiest night as three key shows have been lined up. First up is hip hop star Cal_Vin’s Made in Bulawayo 2 concert at Elite 400 where he will be joined by rappers POY, ASAPH, Floppy X, Psychotek, MC Thorne, Kidd Psycho, Barbs, Benny Jones, gospel rapper T1nda, GTi and Mawiza. Wheel-spinners DJs Liz, Dash, Schuster and Reggie Brown will be on the decks. Entrance to the show has been pegged at $3.

A stone’s throw at the Large City Hall car park, Bulawayo’s top musicians will be performing at a show dubbed Celebrating Local Talent starting in the afternoon. Jeys Marabini, Clement Magwaza, Sandra Ndebele, Madlela Skhobokhobo, Cal_Vin, Iyasa, Ramsy K, Sungura Masters, Kadder, Msiz Kay, Mzoe 7, Hwabaraty, Khaya Arts, Ezimnyama, Impumelelo Shining Stars, Khuliyo, Martin and Ndolwane Super Sounds and Umkhathi are some of the artistes who will be performing. For advance tickets, entrance has been pegged at $2 ordinary and $5 VIP. Those who want to pay at the gate will have to fork out $4 for ordinary entry and $10 for VIP.

Across the city at Eden Night Club, South Africa’s house music producer/DJ Prince Kaybee will serenade fans later in the evening. Dubbed the “Better Days Tour”, entrance to the venue has been pegged at $10 for ordinary tickets and $20 for VIP tickets. DJs Kananjo, Keezy and CP will be joining Prince Kaybee on the decks.

On Sunday, the party continues at Eden Night Club as another SA DJ Heavy K will perform there, two years after an epic performance at the same venue.

To party with the Drumboss, as Heavy K is known, fans will have to part with $10 for ordinary tickets and $20 for VIP.

There will be no time to rest as on Monday, Zimdancehall star Soul Jah Love who has been in the spotlight of late will be performing at Club Connect at a show dubbed Indiscipline Concert. He will be backed by resident DJs Kead Wikead, Crazy Black and TBass with guest DJs Liz, Wellyonz, Crazy Dee, Eugy and Ras Obido. Entrance is pegged at $5 for ordinary tickets and $10 for VIP.
