Everton Mlalazi might have joined the music industry late but during the few years he has been singing, he has been nominated and won more awards than many artistes who have been in the industry before him.

At the Matabeleland Awards which were held over the weekend, Mlalazi won the Best Gospel Artist award and the Best Male Artist award.

Mlalazi says although he is happy to win the awards, his objective is to spread the word of God through music.
“To be honest, gospel musicians don’t produce music to get awards but encourage, bring hope and share the word of God,” he said.

Mlalazi said they spend a lot of time to produce just one song in order to ensure quality production.
He urged other musicians and artistes to continue working hard and avoid compromising on quality. — @themkhust
