However, there are three unmissable events to look out for: the Bulawayo Creative Showcase, Bulawayo Shutdown and Munch & Sip.

These promise to be the highlights of the ZITF weekend. On Friday, the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo will host a vibrant gathering of members from the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs).
This event, sponsored by the US Embassy in Zimbabwe and the British Council, will feature a night filled with music, poetry and conversations about technology.

Bulawayo’s finest talent in the form of Vuyo Brown, Thaluso Da Poet, Sonkomose, Meet Luminous, Thandy Dhlana-Jele, Indigo Saint, Msiz’Kay, Zarae and Lady Tshawe will take to the stage.

A panel discussion on how technology influences the local music scene will be moderated by media personality, Brighton “Benefactor” Ncube and will have Msiz’Kay, Skyz Metro FM station manager Possenti Sikosana, Djembe Monks’ drummer Emmanuel Nkomo and Girls in Stem’s Victoria Nxumalo.

The annual Bulawayo Shutdown taking place at Queens Sports grounds on Saturday will come timely, as people will have a chance to enjoy music from South African and local artistes on the last day of ZITF.

South African rapper Kwesta, along with Murumba Pitch, Aymos, Enzo Ishall, Winky D, Mzoe 7 and a line-up of talented DJs, will take the stage for performances.

On Sunday, after singing songs of worship, party lovers will put on their dancing shoes in preparation for the Munch & Sip event to be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) grounds.
