THE Bulawayo Basketball Association (BBA) is set to convene on Saturday for their Annual General Meeting (AGM) as they seek to kick-start preparations for the new season.

BBA secretary general Francis Dube said: “We are set to have our AGM on Saturday. The meeting will give us a clear picture of where we are headed as an association.

“The focus of the AGM is to help us get back into action. We are also going to be looking at the calendar of events, which are activities that are supposed to happen and who is supposed to do what. We will have members of the executive as well as club representatives at the meeting,” said Dube.

Members of the BBA executive include Sinda Mono, Athletes’ Commission president Langa Ndlovu, 3 x 3 president Tracy Phiri, Women and Youth Commission president Zanele Nzima, Competitions president Geraldine Chibonda and treasurer-general Reuben Mumbire.

One of the major tasks for BBA is to put in place structures that will see the fast growth of 3×3 basketball in the country.
The 3×3 basketball is a new version of the game played by three players a-side and scoring in one basketball hoop.

Each game is 15 minutes long or ends when one team reaches 21 points, whichever comes first.
