THE Bulawayo Metropolitan Province team leaves today with their confidence high ahead of the Easter National Darts Championships to be held in Mutare over the holidays.
The team is upbeat and feels this is the time to do better than previous tournaments.
The league championship winning duo of Archers players, Brian Ndlovu and Simon James alongside Mgcini Nkala of Railstars and ZRP Bulawayo’s Jonis Chiduwo are some of the key players in the Bulawayo team taking part in the competition.

Tapela Makado will lead the men’s first team while Ndlovu will captain the second string side.
In the women’s category, Tanya Tshuma and Yengiwe Zulu will lead the teams.

Lethukuthula Nkomo, a member of the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Darts League committee said the team is bubbling with confidence ahead of their journey to Mutare.

“The team is confident of bringing gold medals to Bulawayo this time around. We are more than prepared. We are leaving in a team bus this time so that we bond as a squad unlike in the past where we met at the venue,” said Nkomo.

The players will now fight for places in the national team that will compete in the Region Five Games later this year.
“Remember Zimbabwe is hosting the Region Five tournament this year and the guys want to be part of the national team and it is at such competitions where players are shortlisted to represent the country,” said Nkomo.
