CAPS United FC legend Carlos Max has called on the club leadership to come out in the open on the status of their South Africa-based coach, Mark Harrison.Makepekepe unveiled Harrison, a nomadic British coach more than a month ago but after flying into  the country for the unveiling  ceremony in the capital, he has not been seen again amid claims that his application for a work permit might not be successful.

His former employers, Black Leopards are on record threatening to take legal action against him for a breach of contract.  Immigration officials further fueled the fears when they said Harrison’s application was not on their database.

Caps United management  have consistently told the media that their man was indeed coming despite numerous postponements of his arrival.

The latest was on Sunday evening but almost 72 hours later, legendary goalkeeper Brenna Msiska and Fungai Tostao Kwashi are still in charge of the pre-season preparations.

Max called on the club to come clean on the position of the coach lest the continued secrecy has negative effects on the team’s performance.

The legendary former Warriors defender even questioned the whole deal, wondering if at all Harrison, who has coached an incredible five teams in just over a year, did pen a deal with Makepekepe.

“Well there’s something not right as to why Mark hasn’t shown his presence at Caps, it could only be that may be he actually hasn’t taken the position so, yes it’s only fitting that the executive let the supporters know what the position is as to the coaching department position,” said Max in a brief interview with Chronicle Sport.

Meanwhile, former Highlanders assistant and stand-in coach Mark Mathe has reportedly been seen at the Caps United training sessions since Monday.

“He’s in Harare yes with Caps United but I’m not sure what role he will  take in the structures there,” said the source.
