CASSPER Nyovest, an outspoken rapper, has revealed that he is a millionaire after he banked R8 million from gigs last year.

Not shy to let people know exactly where his bank balance sits, Cassper Nyovest responded to a fan who said AKA makes more money than he does by saying that he is a millionaire.

“Lmao . . . Don’t lie to yourself, I made 8 million just from shows last year,” Cassper responded.

The Phumakim hit-maker is the CEO of Family Tree Media, the company that independently publishes his music and organises his gigs. He also has various revenue streams in the form of clothing lines, a seven figure deal with MTN, a brand ambassadorship with AG Mobile and KFC.

The Mafikeng-born muso has also not been shy about splurging his hard earned cash. In the past year, he showed off two cars, A BMW 2 Series and a Mercedez Benz tour bus. He has also been spotted in a Lamborghini and a Rolls Royce.

His bachelor pad, a Kyalami townhouse, is said to not be in his name but Cassper denies this saying he bought the luxury home.

Although the 25-year-old leads an extravagant life, he is an avid believer of giving back. He donated R50,000 to the #feesmustfall movement and gave R100,000 to a xenophobia cause in Zimbabwe.

But Cassper seems to have grown a big head as a result of the success. He recently angered fans on social media when he posted a picture of himself with DJ Euphonik in front of a Rolls Royce saying: “When I told Euphonik that I saw one of our haters in a taxi today.”

But his remark did not sit well with fans.

A source close to his circle said Cassper has changed and is no longer the humble boy next door.

“Now that the money’s rolling in, he thinks he’s the best,” claimed a source.

The source said Cassper has been consumed by the industry.

“I guess it happens, if you went to bed a nobody and wake up a somebody. He even had some beef with Tbo Touch and he’s bigger than him in the game,” said the source.

After Cassper posted the picture, his Facebook page was flooded with hurtful comments.

Tshepotshotetsi wrote: “There’re people who use taxis who support your a**.”

Njabulo Ndlovu wrote: It’s sad how you claim to be humble but you post nonsense here, you act like you’ve never been broke. Like really now, Cassper, people who buy your music take taxis and those taxis play your music.”

Omogolo Ontefetse wrote: Cassper, this isn’t the humble guy I’ve known from 2½ years ago.”

A TV presenter who spoke to Sunday Sun also claimed Cassper had changed.

“We miss the old Cassper who took a beating from AKA at the awards,” the presenter said.

The source added some promoters were complaining about his attitude.

Last week, it was reported that Cassper had a beef with Tbo Touch and the two no longer see eye to eye. – Times Live/DailySun.
