THE Zifa Central Soccer League this week released new fixtures following the pullout of NM Academy and Habane Sharks from the league.

The pullout of the two clubs means that the league reverts back to a 16 team league hence the revision of the fixtures.

This week’s fixtures will see a top of the table clash pitting log leaders Shabanie Mine and second placed Blanket Mine at Blanket Mine.

The asbestos miners powered to the top of the log table after edging Vumbachikwe one nil while then leaders Blanket Mine were handed a two nil defeat by former Premiership side Tongogara.

Both sides now have 12 points but are separated by goal difference. The two sides’ mentors were cautious ahead of today’s game.

“Like I have always said we are taking each game as it comes and tomorrow’s game is tricky because Blanket Mine is in top form and I won’t read much to their loss against Tongogara.

I am expecting a tough match but I am hoping for a positive result,” said Tendai Chikuni the Shabanie Mine coach.

His counterpart, Barnet Vinkumbu was equally cautious ahead of today’s game.

“We have picked ourselves up from the defeat against Tongogara and to us it’s now water under the bridge.

We are now looking forward to the game which is equally tough. For us we want to avoid a loss and any result other than a loss will be a bonus for us,” added Vinkumbu.

In other matches, relegated premiership side, Whawha entertain Ivan Hoe at Whawha complex in a tricky encounter which can go either way.

MSU who had been touted as one of the favourites for the sole promotional ticket entertain ZRP Gwanda at the university campus where they will be hoping to put their championship campaign back on track.
