A double header has been lined up for Hartsfield Grounds in Bulawayo tomorrow when Premier Soccer League action resumes after a weekend of cup action.
Struggling Bulawayo sides Bantu Rovers and How Mine will share the facility when they play host to Harare City and Buffaloes respectively.

Methembe Ndlovu’s boys will be hoping to get it right and move away from the drop zone when they face Harare City in an early kick-off before How Mine square off against Mutare side Buffaloes.

Bantu Rovers return to the venue they were using the last time they got relegated to the unfashionable world of Division One football.
Hartsfield Grounds became the next option for Bulawayo teams following the closure of White City, Luveve and Barbourfields stadiums which are undergoing refurbishment for the forthcoming African Union Region Five Under-20 Games that will be held in the city in December.

PSL chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele told our sister paper Sunday News that Hartsfield had been inspected by the league’s technical committee and was ready for football matches. Ndebele said an agreement had been reached with the Matabeleland Rugby Football Board, the owners of the facility.

He disclosed that the committee was looking at ways they could to handle the issue of the rugby posts which were not mobile as the case with stadia in neighbouring South Africa which were used for both soccer and rugby.

“We have agreed in principle with the Matabeleland Rugby Football Board to use the Hartsfield for PSL matches. Our technical team was looking at how best we can handle the issue of goalposts,’’ said Ndebele.

Meanwhile, Highlanders will be without their most trusted defender Bruce Kangwa when they take on Triangle United at Hartsfield Grounds on Thursday afternoon.

Kangwa is one of the five players suspended for the midweek fixtures after accumulating three consecutive yellow cards.
Ismael Lawe (Chicken Inn), Tinashe Mukanhaeri (Caps United), Sam Msimbu (Chiredzi) and Douglas Mbewe (Black Rhinos) will also sit it out the Week 20 matches.
