VETERAN coach Rahman Gumbo picked up his first point in the Botswana Premier League in disappointing fashion after his Sua Flamingoes side blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Mogotshane Fighters.

Gumbo’s charges cruised to a seemingly comfortable lead in the first-half through goals from Tendai Nyumasi and former Caps United striker Dominic Chungwa, who struck two minutes before the break.

However, Mogotshane Fighters came back a changed side in the second-half and pulled one back deep into the match before a 90th minute leveler stunned the league debutants.

Speaking from Botswana, Gumbo refused to blame his boys, saying it was a new experience for them and they were still learning the ropes. They lost their opening encounter to Gaborone United 1-0.

“It’s a new experience for them, they are still learning the ropes. We will get it right soon; the journey is just starting,” said Gumbo.

They take on Security Systems at the Obed Itani Chileme Stadium this evening.

Gumbo said they will be invading the market to beef up the squad once the transfer window opens in two months’ time.

“We will definitely add new faces during the next transfer window,” he said.

He joined Sua Flamingoes this year from relegated TelOne in the the local Premier Soccer League.
