A Zimbabwean food show, My Zim Plate, is set to be launched on DStv’s Honey Channel and a call has been made for local foodies to bid to be the presenter of the series.

Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe said: “The show is in the style of existing series on the Honey Channel such as My Naija Plate, My Kenyan Plate and My Zambian Plate. It will platform to the rest of the continent, unique features of our own cuisine.”

She said food experts and enthusiasts who would like to audition to present the show should record a captivating one-minute video, explaining how to prepare their favourite Zimbabwean dish.

“In one minute, they should sell themselves so that we come up with the right person for this exciting role,” said Dziva
Audition videos should be sent via WhatsApp on 064 602 1342 or email [email protected] and the deadline for submission is Friday, October 7.

“It’s an exciting concept and a chance for someone to platform our cuisine to the whole continent so let’s hope for a big response from foodies,” said Dziva.
