A 56-YEAR-OLD mechanic from Bulawayo’s Njube suburb allegedly masqueraded as a businessman and snatched his son’s 21-year-old girlfriend before impregnating her a year ago.
This was revealed yesterday when Cecilia Mwanza dragged his estranged lover Fink Siziba to the Maintenance Court for the upkeep of their one-year-old daughter.

Mwanza who was demanding $120 per month as maintenance is accusing Siziba of being deceitful.
She claimed that she had a relationship with the man’s 29-year-old son, before he sweet-talked her into an affair and she accepted based on false promises that he would take care of her as he claimed that he was a businessman.

“I was involved with his son a few years back but he told me he would take care of me. He also told me he was running a business at Kelvin North so I left my boyfriend for him,” said Mwanza.

Siziba denied the allegations saying Mwanza reached her own conclusion based on assumptions.
“I never told her I’ve a business. In fact I’m a mechanic and perhaps she used to see me driving cars that I would be repairing. I’m struggling to make ends meet and I can only give her $30,” said Siziba.

Magistrate Vivian Ndlovu took a swipe at Siziba for impregnating someone young enough to be his daughter. She also castigated Mwanza for misplaced priorities after she claimed she was planning on writing her O-Level examinations in November.

The magistrate ordered Siziba to pay $50 for maintenance starting August 31.
