Mrs Ntombenhle Moyo is the new PRAZ board chairperson

PROCUREMENT Regulatory Authority Zimbabwe (PRAZ) has announced the appointment of Mrs Ntombenhle Moyo as the new board chairperson.

In a statement, PRAZ said Mrs Moyo is a professional with experience in management and as an entrepreneur.

Mrs Moyo has served as board member for various organisations, in the private and public sectors including the State Procurement Board (SBP) and Praz.

She has been recognised for various services and contributions to the development of Zimbabwe through awards such as Businesswoman of the Year, Woman of Excellence, Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and Winner in the Education Category.

“The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe board, management and staff extend heartfelt congratulations to Mrs Ntombenhle Moyo, on her appointment as board chairperson of the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ).

“We wish her well in all her new role. Her depth of knowledge, strategic thinking and ability to navigate the regulatory landscape will undoubtedly steer the authority towards greater heights,” reads the statement.

According to the Government Gazette the Minister of Finance Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Professor Mthuli Ncube, whose Ministry PRAZ falls under, appointed Mrs Moyo as board chairperson with effect from November 2, 2023.

“It is hereby notified that the Minister responsible for procurement, in terms of paragraph 7(1) of the First Schedule to the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [Chapter 22:23], has appointed Mrs Ntombenhle Moyo as the Board Chairperson for the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe, with effect from the 2nd of November, 2023.”
