TSHIBILIKA musician Ndux Junior is set to launch his ninth album titled, La Esiyakhona, on Saturday at Learnmore Pre-School in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The six-track album that was produced by Jabulani Ndlovu at Truetone Studios in South Africa mainly tackles social ills. There will be no album launch in Zimbabwe though the CDs will be sold for $5 at local record bars.

In South Africa, it will be sold for R50 at Jet Music stores.Ndux Junior said he was launching the album in the neighbouring country as he has a huge fan base there.

“I have a huge fan base in South Africa and as such I recorded the album there and decided to launch it there as well. I recorded more sales of my previous album, Uthando Luyingozi in South Africa than Zimbabwe as well and have more gigs in South Africa hence the bias towards SA.”

The artiste, whose real name is Witness Malaba, said all was set for the launch.

“I’ve completed recording and mastering the album. I believe it’s coming at the right time as we’re fast approaching the festive season. People will certainly enjoy the album as they celebrate Christmas,” said Ndux Junior.

Ndux, who is the son of the late popular Kalanga musician, Nduna “Ndux Malax” Malaba, said he would remain true to his beat and the forthcoming album would contain social commentary lyrics that have become his trade mark.

Tracks that will likely resonate with fans are La Esiyakhona which teaches people to help one who is in need and Umagweja which advises gold panners to refrain from violence. In a bid to appreciate the undying love shown by mothers, Ndux Junior dedicates a song to them and grabs the opportunity to warn fathers not to abuse them.
