RAILSTARS will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Free Stars in a Bulawayo Province Netball League match at Lobengula over the weekend. The railways girls suffered a shock defeat in the encounter against Ntutu Sparrows after dominating the match only to lose in the last segment.

Railstars coach Judith Mweemba said they have worked on errors of the last encounter.
She declared her charges ready for the match.

“We are ready for them (Free Stars) and we have corrected our mistakes after that game, we lost concentration in the last quarter which was costly.
“Now we want to win the game with a bigger margin,” said Mweemba.

Railstars are pinning their hopes on their centre Nonsiwenkosi Maseko and defender Nomvuyo Sikhosana to shine against a young Free Stars side.
Free Stars are in buoyant mood after a 56-6 landslide victory against Old Nic in their last encounter.

Free Stars team manager Lisa Mangena said they are plotting a surprise for Railstars and promised that they won’t make it easy for them.
“We are ready for Railstars and we won’t make it easy for them, as we have a promising young team which is doing well,” said Mangena.

Mangena said Free Stars is a developmental side full of young stars as they lost most of their experienced players to Super League side Khami Prison.

Meanwhile Mighty Queens have leapfrogged Ntutu Sparrows on the log standings on a superior goal difference after edging Jumbo Queen 39-31 on Tuesday.
