HARARE Open winner Robson Saurombe was the biggest mover in the Zambezi Tour Order of Merit after shooting from seventh to a commendable third, according to rankings released yesterday.

Saurombe, whose total earnings were $3,128 before the Harare Open held this past weekend, took his earnings to $6,728 after carding a gross total of 214 that catapulted him to victory at the Harare Open.

Chapman Golf Club player Tongoona Charamba maintained his stronghold at the top of the merits table with a total earnings of $8,527 from the nine tournaments held in the Golden Pilsner Zambezi Tour.

This is despite the fact that Charamba only managed to realise $296 from the Harare Open following his disastrous performance in the tournament that saw him carding a gross total of 221, clearly his worst performance in all tournaments this year.

In third place is Ignatious Mketekete with total earnings of $7,910.

Bulawayo’s Brian Gondo slipped down from ninth to 13th with earnings of $2,325 while fellow city man Phillip Tshuma moved up from 40 to 29 with $656 in total earnings.
