Stanbic introduces Blue 247 mobile service

STANBIC Bank Zimbabwe has scaled up its banking services after introducing a Blue 247 mobile facility that enhances clients’ convenience.

The new service means customers can now enjoy on the go banking anytime of the day through the use of their mobile phone.

“Customers nowadays need products that bring convenience and lessen the usual hassles of life. Most people spend a lot of time on their phones and with mobile banking it becomes a convenient additional functionality that reduces trips to the bank”, said Brian Ndadzungira, head of personal and business banking at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe.

“Blue 247 allows you to inquire your Stanbic account balance, view your mini statement, top up airtime, transfer funds from one Stanbic account to another or to another bank and pay bills.”

In addition to convenience, Ndadzungira said, mobile banking costs less than accessing services from the branch.

“Blue 247 is very safe. You get a password to use when logging into the service on your phone and only one cell phone number is linked to your account,” he said.

Ndadzungira said Stanbic appreciates the needs of its customers hence the new service to promote innovative self-service banking and paperless transacting.

Stanbic also offers Internet banking, an electronic statement service that allows customers to access statements through their emails as well as “my updates service” — an instant SMS alert of any activity on your account among other services.
