Harare Bureau
Tanzanian-based clearing and forwarding company ATB Investments Pvt Limited has extended its tentacles into Zimbabwe with the opening of a Harare office this week.

ATB would be trading as Aysha ATB Zimbabwe and the move is expected to create convenience among its clients.

The company currently has 150 clients in Zimbabwe and the opening of a new office is premised on the idea that they want to triple the number of clients.

ATB Investments managing director Aysha Kungulilo said the company sees Zimbabwe as a safe investment environment and the expansion into Harare is set to add a new dimension to the company’s business.

“We want to increase our volumes and that’s why we chose Zimbabwe as our first port of expansion though at first we wanted to start with Malawi.

“Our job is to clear cars and whenever our clients request the services of a driver we’re always ready to provide.

“Our office in Harare is there to receive requests and paper work from clients and then send to Tanzania which is the head office,” said Kungulilo.

She said the company also plans to open another office in Bulawayo in order to reach out to all sections of the country.

ATB Investments is a general investment company investing and expanding its business through quality and professional services in different ways.

The products and services range from general office, technical as well as advisory.

“We’re experts in providing quality and I’m the co-founder and I’ve been in the shipping industry for almost 20 years now. My professionalism and experience contributes highly to the company’s fast growth through efficiency and competency in the market,” she said.

Kungulilo said ATB is a clearing and forwarding agency based in Tanzania, Dar-es-salaam, and it serves and attends to customers in a professional way.

She said Mamba Enterprises as a registered clearing and forwarding agent has been in the clearing and forwarding industry since 1985, being a sister company to ATB Investments and has cleared more than 500,000 cars not mentioning containers and bulk cargo.

“This office in Zimbabwe we’re supposed to be receiving papers from clients to make it easy for them to send to Tanzania.

“We just wanted to add more clients and we plan to at least clear about 100 cars per month from Japan,” said Aysha ATB Zimbabwe marketing manager Sha Mukimi.
