ARMY side Tongogara make the long trip to Gwanda where they face unpredictable Vumbachikwe in a Zifa Central Soccer League encounter at Pelandaba Stadium today.
Tongogara come into the match on the back of a two all draw against police outfit ZRP Beitbridge while the gold miners’ two-match winning run was set up in smoke by Gaths Mine who beat them 2-1.

Ignatius Kapitapita, the Tongogara mentor, said he is going to be cautious ahead of the match.
A win by the army side will see them maintain top spot on the log standings with 24 points.

The Battlefields-based side is the only team not to have tasted defeat this season and is a point clear of second-placed WhaWha who take on Blanket Mine at the prison grounds.

Vumbachikwe coach, Max Ruza, said his charges are ready for the army’s onslaught and has vowed to collect maximum points.
Ruza attributed their poor run to a blunt strike force which is not converting chances.

He said he would be beefing up the strikeforce during the transfer window and is confident that things will turn out differently during the second half of the season.
