forthcoming 12th  Annual National People’s Conference in Bulawayo. The conference runs from December 6 to 10 this year.
VP Mujuru said Zanu-PF should shun hatred and greed to defeat the agents of regime change.
“It is allowed to disagree but do not show acrimony. Our roots are always grounded in love and unity. We have a history and let us listen to everyone’s ideas as we prepare for the elections.
“We have conquered in unity before and nothing can stop us from achieving the same. We are answerable to the people if we fail to unite for a great purpose. So let us pull in one direction the way we did during the liberation struggle and defeat our enemies,” she said.

Turning to the conference, VP Mujuru said the party was going to discuss empowerment issues not jostle for positions.
She said the party had a “mammoth” task of taking empowerment to the people.
“This is the time we convene to talk about issues of business and our everyday life. We should talk about the country’s needs and expectations. Let us focus on how our wealth can be distributed equitably to the majority. Yes, we might not all own a mine but we should benefit from the proceeds,” she said.

VP Mujuru said the dinner coincided with the 34th anniversary of the Chimoio massacre and Zimbabweans should continue appreciating the contributions by the departed heroes.
She commended the business world for supporting Zanu-PF during its fundraising activities.
The party, she said, would continue working with the cooperate world to strengthen the already existing partnerships.
“We are proud of you because the event would not be possible without you. We hope you will continue extending your hand to the needy people.

“The party will always appreciate your efforts and continue working with you until we achieve our goals,” she said.
Cde Noah Mangondo, the fundraising committee chairman, said the committee was impressed by the turn out.
He said the conference would also run concurrently with the Bulawayo Business Expo.
“Preparations are going on well and while I am not at liberty to divulge the amount of money collected, we have received great support from individuals and several companies.
“We will continue to appeal to people to assist              us and at the Expo we will be still fund-raising,” he said.

The dinner was attended by senior party members and several captains of industry.
Each of the 10 administrative provinces was tasked to raised money for the conference
