FINALLY! The wait will soon be over as the much-anticipated second season of Wadiwa Wepa Moyo is expected to be out next month.

New actors and influencers among them football player Tino Kadewere, are set to be part of the cast that is set to entertain series lovers.

Wadiwa Wepa Moyo production manager, Kudakwashe Jani yesterday said fans should gear up for an exciting 10-episode series. Since last year when the series was a hit during the initial lockdown, fans of the show have been pleading with producers to give them another season.

“Our valuable fans have been asking for another season for a long time now and we’re happy to inform them that the wait will soon be over. Ten episodes for the second season have been shot and will be released next month,” said Jani without sharing the exact date of the release.

He said the forthcoming season will have new acts that are set to make a mark in the film industry.

“The time to reclaim and rejuvenate the film industry is now and Wadiwa Wepa Moyo series seeks to achieve that. Fans should stick with us as we grow the series into becoming one that they’ll love and remember always,” said Jani.

Wadiwa Wepamoyo is a tale of two boys from the dusty streets of Harare, Tawanda “Man Tawa” (Everson Chieza) and Biko (Dillion Mafukidze) who have a dream of playing for Manchester United in the United Kingdom. However, everything changes when Tawanda falls in love with Nokuthula (Tadiwa Bopoto). The first season aired on College Central’s YouTube account averaging 100 000 views per episode. Following this success, the drama was then aired on ZBCtv. -@mthabisi_mthire
