THE Zimbabwe International Trade Fair  (ZITF) Company has changed this year’s trade fair dates from the previously announced May schedule to April. In a statement, the trade fair company said the dates for the 55th edition of the ZITF had been changed with immediate effect.

“Please be advised that the 55th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair will now be held from April 22 to 26 and not from May 6 to 10 as previously advertised,” it said.

The ZITF Company said as usual the first three days would be dedicated to business meetings and exhibitions.
“The first three days April 22 to 24 will be business days.”

The International Business Conference that the ZITF Company organises in partnership with the National Economic Consultative Forum will be held on April 23 while the trade fair official opening will be on April 25.

Despite the shifts in dates of this year’s trade fair, all other exhibitions that run concurrently with the ZITF such as A’Sambeni Business Tourism Expo, Scholastica, PakPrint and Ultim8 Home will be held.

As per tradition, the last two days of the trade fair will be open to the public.
In an interview yesterday, ZITF Company marketing and public relations manager Stella Nkomo would not be drawn into shedding more light as to why the dates for this year’s event had been revised.

She said: “We will hold a press conference where we will answer all the questions because many people have been making enquiries with regards to this year’s trade fair. We will clarify why the dates were changed.”

This year trade fair will run under the theme: “New Ideas to New Heights”.
