ZPC Munyati entertain Ivan Hoe at home in a Zifa Central Soccer League (CSL) today as both sides play catch up in the twilight stages of the campaign.

The hosts will also be out to avenge the 0-1 defeat they suffered against the Kwekwe-based side in the reverse fixture.

ZPC Munyati coach Isaac Nyabvure still has a point to prove against his former paymasters who he ditched at the beginning of this season for the Munyati-based outfit.

“This is a must win match for us if we are to remain in contention. For us, this match is important because we want to revenge the loss we suffered in Amaveni and nothing short of three points will be satisfactory to me,” said Nyabvure.

ZPC Munyati lie on fifth position with 41 points, three points adrift of Ivan Hoe on 43 points. A win for the power generators will see both sides level on points.

Ivan Hoe will, however, be hoping to complete a double over their adversaries today, with coach Julius Chakupewa saying they are out for maximum points.

“It is going to be a tough game considering that we are separated by just three points, which puts us more or less on the same footing. It will be good for us to win tomorrow’s match for us to keep up with other top teams. Therefore, for us it’s all to play for,” said Chakupewa.

Elsewhere, log leaders Whawha face another stern test when they play against an unpredictable Makusha in Shurugwi. Last week Whawha were held to a goalless draw by Vumbachikwe. Shurugwi-based, Nichrut have a relatively easy encounter against Kwekwe Stars at Peak Mine. Kwekwe Stars have failed to fulfil their last two matches and will be expelled from the league should they fail to make the trip to Shurugwi.
