ALL is set for the Zimbabwe University Sports Association (Zusa) games to be held at the Midlands State University (MSU) from tomorrow to Sunday.
The two day sporting event comes on the heels of preliminary games held in Lupane University for the southern region while Africa University hosted the northern region games.
Twelve universities are expected to take part in the games among them University of Zimbabwe, Catholic University, National University of Science of Technology (Nust), Africa University and hosts MSU.

Nust were the first to arrive for the games yesterday while the rest of the travelling universities are expected at the games village today.
Chairman of the local organising committee, James Chivivi said MSU is ready to play host to the games which will be spread across Gweru and Kwekwe.

“We are ready to host the games and for the first time in the history of the games all the athletes will be housed at one place which will make it easier to organise the logistics.

“The universities will be competing in over 10 disciplines from Saturday until Sunday and the games will be held in different venues in Gweru and Kwekwe,” he said.
MSU will host football, karate, pool, basketball, volleyball and tennis while Fletcher High School will host football.

Regina Mundi will play host to women football where five teams participating are competing on a round robin basis while hockey will be played at Midlands Christian College.

Darts enthusiasts are expected to converge at Bata Recreational Club while cricket will be held at Kwekwe Sports Club.
University of Zimbabwe who have dominated the previous games, are the defending champions.
